The Wright Brother's Diary

Random….

We were doing our chores this morning, and I added a few more for Chase to do in the Nee Year.

Me: Chase, please clean your bathroom sink.
Chase: can I use Clorox wipes?
Me: sure.
Chase: YES!!! Clorox is my favorite cleaning brand!

I didn’t know he had a favorite. He came out and said, “I’m finished. I cleaned the door knob too. We touch it every time we go in and out”. I hate to take advantage of his OCD- but he seems to enjoy it!

Playing Mad Libs with Chase. He had to name something soft. He said a kitten. I looked at him before I wrote it down and I think he thought I was doubting him. He said, “a kittens very soft! You could use a dead one for a pillow if you wanted to.” I’ll pass.

Chris- Sawyer, are you listening to me?
Sawyer- (yells back) are you listening to me?

Meanwhile, Chase wants an ascot and a tuxedo for Christmas. He wore his tie under his shirt to dinner so it looked like an ascot.

How can they be so different?

Chris is watching the Game- Chase is watching Titanic.

Chase taped his brother in a box.

Me- Chase, open the box.

Chase- Don’t worry Mom. I poked holes in it and put a blanket in there for him. He likes it!

“Mom, I just feel like having a nice evening at home.” -Chase

Sawyer calls everybody “he”. So I was trying to explain boys are he and girls are she. I went through a list of boys he knows, then a list of girls. Then he says “and Miss Jasmine Wight! Miss Jasmine’s a girl, so he’s a she!” We’ll work on it some more tomorrow.

Sawyer sits at the table, looks at his plate, and pushes it away. “That’s not my dinner”.
I put it back in front of him. “Yes. It is.”
He gets up from the counter and goes to the pantry- I shut the pantry door, and put him back in his seat. I tell him it’s this or nothing. He pushes it away and gets down again. I put him back in his seat- and so on and so on for about 10 minutes. He finally realizes- hunger is the only other option. He takes a bite- and smiles. “I like it!”. It was like a dinner scene from the miracle worker. Little shit.
