The Wright Brother's Diary

Exhale and write.

So, I have been working on this blog for a couple of weeks.  And, I’m just not getting anywhere with it.  So, I deleted it and started with a fresh page.  (Sigh of relief).

Ya know, it is getting hard to keep track of all the things I do.  Because I do great things everyday.  I’m not bragging.  It just is what it is.  I do something- anything- and Mom and Dad get the camera, call my grandparents, and make this HUGE fuss.  I mean, I could burp and bring Mom to tears.  (Dad would give me the ol’ high 5.  Yes…people still do that:)

My point is, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed deciding what to write about.  For instance, do I tell you that I know every letter of the alphabet, and I have for months.  (I also know over 200 words now and can make simple sentences, I still just like to grunt and shout until you figure out what I want- but, Mom says that is because I am a boy, therefore it is instinctual and out of my hands.) Or do I tell you how good I am at climbing, jumping, hanging and tumbling.  I just don’t know.

I can’t seem to organize my thoughts- which has lead to frustration, chaos and finally writer’s block.  So, I’m just writing for the love of it now.  (And, I have some pictures I’d like to post.  I do like to keep you all informed of my activities.)

My Birthday!

Was GREAT!

I had two birthday parties! One with my friends and one with my family.  My Grandpa B. came here all the way from Arizona.

As you can see I had the best birthday ever! (And I am an expert, I’ve had more than one, ya know.)

My Grandpa’s visit was so much fun! We laughed, we read, we played trains, we even fixed Mom’s car. Grandpa showed me what to do, in case Mom ever pulls that “damsel in distress” bit, when he’s not around. It was great having him here and we can’t wait until he comes back!

Well, I better get to bed.  I spent the weekend with Granny and Papa- and they wore me out! We did it all! I won’t say what we did, because Mom and Dad read this- and I would never throw them under the bus that way.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “Grandparents are the greatest people in the whole world! (Some of them are even called “great grandparents,” I know!) They are the only people who can love you as much as your own parents, but they always have fun and they never say no.  They’re my peeps!

    Hi Chase,

I’m so glad you finally gathered your thoughts and were able to update your blog. I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled, anxious to hear about what you’ve been up to. It sure looks like you had an incredible birthday, got some cool stuff, and enjoyed all your visitors. It would have been nice to share it with you. That’s why I LOVE your blog….it’s the next best thing to being there….

I know what you mean about grandparents. They are truly the best. I definitely know what you mean about your parents gushing over you. Just a few days ago, your mom sent some pics to all your friends and relatives of you trying to simply make it through bath time. You definitely have NO privacy. It must get terribly annoying. However, I can see WHY they have a tough time keeping their hands off you!!

I know your days are so busy now that you’re able to do so much more. Keep us posted with what little time you have left to blog.

I love you, Chase. Give mom and dad my love as well…xoxoxo
