The Wright Brother's Diary

6 months

Had my 6 month checkup last week. Here are my stats:

height: 29 1/2 inches
weight: 20lbs

Once again, the doctor said I’m “off the charts”. That better be another way of saying, “good”.

Also, once again- they poked me! I do not like being poked. And, whatever they poked me with- made me feel not so well for a couple of days. I slept a lot, and was kinda cranky the rest of the time. But, I managed to smile a couple of times. Actually, I was very surprised, not only did Mom just let them do this to me, she actually held me down while they did it! I don’t know what I did to her.

We went to Granny & Papa’s house this weekend. It was so fun! Mommy, Daddy, Granny & Papa just played with me for two whole days! We laid in front of the new fireplace, then we played a little, took naps and watched a movie. During the movie, I fell asleep on Papa’s lap. It was a great time.

I started swim lessons this week. Well, I wouldn’t really call it swimming. More like kicking, splashing and being dunked under water. But, I didn’t cry- I was very brave (and a little confused, I mean this is kind of a weird thing to do) But the pool was nice and warm, and my mom came in with me. She held me the whole time, so I knew I was safe.

One other thing. I can sit up by myself now for about 5 minutes at a time. It’s pretty nice to play with my toys this way until I fall over and bonk my head. I don’t like that very much.

Okay, gotta jet – I think I hear Dad’s car pulling up…
