The Wright Brother's Diary

Put me in coach!

We arrived at Arena Sports about 20 minutes early- this is Chase waiting for his group to take the field!  I wrote this email while we were there waiting- and I just wanted to note this on his blog, so that I remember Chase’s excitement!  It was infectious!  He was thrilled and so was I! It is one of those many moments that I have loved being Chase’s Mom.  Then we had a perfect trip to the sporting goods store and then a wonderful conversation over lunch (mostly talking about soccer!)  To top it off, while we were laying down today and getting ready for Chase’s nap, he put his hand on my cheek and told me “I like you very much Mom.”  He has been telling Chris and I that he loves us, now (without us prompting him to:).  But, I was very pleased with this comment.  Because we don’t just love Chase- we really like the person he is and I hope that he will feel the same way about us.  It was just a good day.  I know this has nothing to do with Soccer, and Chase does not like when I write in his diary, but I don’t ever want to forget this day.  I think it may have been one of my 5 favorite days, ever!

The email:

“Chase is just standing at the net looking in-  he is giggling and when people kick the ball he squeals and shouts “look at that ball!”. He keeps saying “want to go in there Mom! Want to play soccer! “. He is sooooo excited! Oh my gosh!  He is sooo cute!  I love watching him be this excited!    He has been talking about this all week!  And he didn’t even put up a struggle when we were getting ready for soccer- unlike most mornings!”

Here he is running and kicking the ball.  He did not even miss once, he was spot on! We are so proud of him!

Sorry Chase- I will try not to invade your privacy again.
