Hello! I know it has been a while since I last posted. We have been very busy the last couple of weeks. Things have slowed down now, and we are enjoying our peace and quiet.
I finished my first session of swimming lessons on Friday. At first, I was kinda nervous, but it didn’t take long to get over that. The water was very warm and I knew I was safe because I was with my mom. As it turns out I am a natural, a fish! I learned how to kick my legs, pull with my arms and go under water (this is the general idea of swimming). I even swam on my own from my mom to my instructor. I can’t wait to go again! By the end of my lessons, I was laughing and splashing in the water! It is so much fun! And it gave me a great idea- I can splash in the bath tub, too!
Even though we love swim lessons, it is nice to have a little break. We went three times a week, and it is tiring for me.
This weekend was a action packed, too! We spent Friday with Auntie Nicole, Noah and Sophie. We watched a movie, went to lunch and then Mommy and Auntie Nicole got their “toes done?”
On Saturday Granny, Papa and my cousin’s (Emma & Claire) all came over. We had a birthday party for Mom. Granny and Papa gave her a pair of beautiful earrings and Cousin Claire made her a necklace that Mom says she will treasure forever! Granny made Mom her favorite cake, Lemon with white frosting (Mom gave me some frosting, Yummy!!!! I like cake! Uncle Curt gave me a little guacamole, interesting…very interesting. I do love to try new foods, still not diggin’ the Cherrios.)
This “time change” thing has thrown me for a loop. The last few nights I have been up until 2:30. Woohoo! Party all night! (Mom cried.)
I definitely like to sit up on my own now. I like the way the world looks from this angle. I can see my toys better, and I can sit with Mommy and Daddy now. I like to be a part of everything! I hate being left out. I am definitely having some separation anxiety from my Mom and Dad when they leave the room. I don’t understand why they don’t want to be with me every minute of the day. I am so much fun. All they ever say is how cute I am, how sweet I am and how much fun I am. So, I just don’t get them? I am willing to always be with them- they are not reasonable people. But, I am hoping they will come around.
I better get going. There is much to discover!
