So, the other night, February 4th to be exact, I was playing with my dad. It was a night like any other night, a little peek-a-boo, a little rolling over, you know what I do… I was practicing my standing, Dad was behind me, giving me the extra support that I need, when all of the sudden, I spotted a toy on the table… I wanted it! But, I couldn’t reach it. I was confused, frustrated and at a loss. I don’t know what came over me- the next thing I knew, I had put one foot in front of the other- I leaned into the table, and low and behold – I grabbed my toy~!
Now, I would hardly call myself a walker, in fact, I could use a walker. But, I am learning. Slowly but surely, and isn’t that all we can really do? One foot in front of the other, one at a time. Baby steps. Ha! Get it – baby st… oh never mind…
That is the only news that I have. I mean, don’t get me wrong – I do a lot of cute stuff. Like, now I can play peek-a-boo with you. I played with Auntie Nicole tonight. It is so much fun. This is how it works, for those of you who have never played.
I cover my face with a blanket.
You say, “Where’s Chase?”
And, I show my face.
Adults are so easily amused!
Mom and I spent the whole day with The Caseys, we try to do this every friday. It is fun, because I get to play with Sophie, and Mom gets to play with Nicole. They really just sit and talk.
Hey, guess what? Mom and I start swim lessons in a couple of weeks! Mom says we get to play in a huge bath tub! I can’t wait to jump in that pool! I hope that swimming is easier than walking. I will keep you posted.
I am getting little nervous. You know that my dad is a big rockstar, right? Well, he is really pushing me to play a musical instrument. I mean, I am only 5 months old. I guess he needs a drummer for his band, and I don’t want to disappoint him. Lucky for me, I am too young to play in bars anyway.
Well, I better get to bed, it is late and I tend to crash like a PC after midnight. Here are a couple more action shots of me so far this month. Just the everyday things, climbing on Mom and opening my fan mail.
Chase
Hey buddy, glad to see you are having a good time and keeping your folks entertained. In case you did not hear, you have another cousin now. She lives in Texas and her name is Cayanne, I am not sure on the spelling but I’m calling her Pepper anyway so it don’t matter. I can spell pepper.
You are getting to be one big boy there. I love all the pictures and you can show me all of your neat tricks in May.
Love you Chase and can’t wait to see you.
