Well, Sawyer is 6 months old today. It’s been an interesting 6 months. It’s amazing how two kids can grow up in the same household and already they seem so different. The best thing to see by far has been how Chase and Sawyer have taken to each other. Chase makes Sawyer laugh so hard – and when he’s away from him he comments on how much he misses his baby brother.
Sawyer is a good, happy guy (for the most part…). He does drool a lot. I mean, A lot. We keep thinking he’s getting teeth, but nope, just drool. And he eats like a dang horse. He’s eating a couple of tubs of solid food a day! The nighttime thing is still tough – he NEVER wants to go to sleep. He just doesn’t want to miss anything, I guess. Even when he feels himself fall asleep, you can just see him willing himself back awake. Very frustrating!
He’s really just days away from crawling now – he can go a few steps with his legs, he just needs to remember to move his hands at the same time to keep up. He’s getting to the point where he has his “hey, pay attention to me” screech. A lot different than the normal cry – it really is a sort of yelling/screeching thing. Pretty funny. Oop, that’s him crying now, so I’d better wrap this up.
I guess we’ll see what the next 6 months has in store for us – we’re looking forward to it!
