So we had our first ski trip. It was to Bozeman, Montana to go ski Bridger Bowl and Big Sky. Kristin and Sawyer were both supposed to go but since it was an 11 hour drive each way and we were only going to be there 2 days, (and they don’t ski) they opted out. It was just Chase and I. It was a looong drive, but Chase had his new 3DS he just bought to pass the time – and it was worth it! The skiing was a ton of fun and Chase skied his first Double Black Diamond run! He skied a couple of them actually – at Bridger Bowl. The first one was called Flippers and then we did the High Traverse and the other one was Lower Nose. It snowed about 4 inches during the day and we pretty much had fresh tracks every run!
The next day we did Big Sky, but the conditions weren’t very good and couldn’t ski most of the stuff we wanted to. We did get a tour around the mountain (literally around the mountain) and still had a great time. Except when we took the gondola to the top – that was pretty scary. Chase didn’t even want to move once we got up there.
We even hit the Museum of the Rockies on the way out and saw some really cool dinosaur bones!
