The Wright Brother's Diary

Responsibility & Brotherly Love.

Tonight at the mall, I had to use the restroom. Chris hadn’t gotten there yet, so I had to take the boys with me. When we went in to the Macy’s women’s restroom, there was a little lounge area with a couple of couches. I asked Chase if he would keep an eye on Sawyer while I used the restroom (I was nervous about Sawyer running off). I was only a minute or two, but I could hear Chase talking to Sawyer and keeping him entertained during that time. When I came out of the stall, I said, “thank you Chase, for being someone I can count on”. He said, “You can always count on me.”. And I do. A large majority of the time- Chase’s behavior is awesome!

The other day he got down on the ground with Sawyer and showed him how to put his shoes in by himself. When Sawyer put his first shoe on, Chase cheered him on, “good job Sawyer! You’re so smart!”. When Sawyer was getting frustrated trying to put his other shoe on, Chase said, “don’t worry Sawyer! It’s not easy, but you’ll get it!”. Then he put Sawyer’s shoe on for him.

He’s taught Sawyer the alphabet, to count, something almost everyday. If Sawyer’s upset in the car- Chase is the one who helps him. They run around and play together every day.

They are so good for each other! It’s not always paradise- but it’s pretty close. I love watching them play together, hearing their giggles over knock knock jokes, supporting and loving each other. I hope they always take care of each other.
