The Wright Brother's Diary

The most wonderful time…

We couldn’t wait another day. Last night Chase and I put out our decorations. Chase really just gets to pull things out if the bins, I have a place for each thing- he was happy just to look at it all and put my stackable snowman together. I’m hoping the memories of the fun decorations, Christmas shows and music, snuggling, and arts and crafts will out weigh the memory of my frustration with Sawyer- who had to touch and move EVERYTHING!! Sawyer doesn’t much appreciate the art of Feng Shui. I actually won the battle with him last night, but I had to get a little Grinchy with him to do it. You would think making a toddler cry would dampen my Christmas spirit- no no no.
We ended the night making some fun Christmas art. I love these little spongy stickers, they have been such a fun introduction to art for both boys as toddlers. Chase has always neatly placed each sticker on his paper, careful to never overcrowd. Where Sawyer fills most of the surface on his paper- then starts a second layer on top of that. He definitely has a bit of Picasso in him. They worked for almost an hour, so peacefully (bliss for me). They love digging through the pile and seeing the fun shapes. I love watching Chase plan out and carefully select each sticker, looking for certain pieces. It was relaxing and fun.
Now, to get formalities of Thanksgiving out of the way and move on to the MOST wonderful time of the year!!!
