Yesterday I was looking every where for Sawyer’s shoes. I searched the entire house and outside. Everywhere but Chase’s room. Why would Sawyer’s shoes be in a room he’s not even allowed in- ever. But, I was at a loss so I checked anyway. They were in Chase’s closet along with all of these tools. I asked Chase about it and he said he is building a robot, the shoes were for the robot. He even showed me the little notes he has made, “the plans” for the robot.
He had a playdate taken away, for lying when I asked if he knew where Sawyer’s shoes were. It’s hard to be too upset, it’s about the cutest thing he’s ever done. But, he lied and there must be a consequence. I had to turn my head do he couldn’t see me smiling. I really do think he’ll build a robot someday.
