The Wright Brother's Diary

Summer Update

So, I am a bit behind in my blogging.  Our world kind of stopped for a while, Mom has been pretty sick (they call it morning sickness- but it lasts all day.  She has been pretty miserable and very tired).  This baby has already been causing trouble- and it isn’t even here yet.

Through all of this chaos and madness, we have had a good summer.  I had some very special visitors come to see me.  First, my Aunt Hollie and cousin Reilly came to our house.  I had never met Reilly before.  I wasn’t sure about him at first, but he was pretty cute, and once I got use to him- I liked having him around! We just hung out, went down to Seattle and spent some special time together.  I wish they lived closer so we could play together more often.

A couple of weeks after Aunt Hollie left, my Grandpa came to visit.  We had lots fun.  We went to the Museum of Flight, went out for ice cream and played around the house.  It was so nice to have him here to play with me, except for the claw! Mom warned me about it, but until it happens to you, there is no way to know! Here are some pics of our time with Grandpa! We love you Grandpa! Thanks for coming to see us!

I also went on a boat trip this summer.  We went to a place called Deer Harbor- I did not see any deer, but it was fun all the same.  We went for a walk into town- although I had a complete meltdown, from lack of sleep- and we took the walk during my nap time.  But, after a nap I was reenergized and ready to go.  I even got to go under the boat and help Papa fix the engine.

Did I mention that I turned 3 this summer!?!  Yeah, I did.  For my birthday Mommy and Daddy gave me a big boy bedroom!  I also had cake ice cream and lots of presents! I love birthdays!

Another thing I have really enjoyed this summer is playing with all of my friends.  I have great friends! I have always liked them, but we are playing together in such a new way.  We are using our imaginations and pretending a little pack of trees is a forest, we make up little games to play together and we talk to each other and make each other laugh.  We also work together and share very well (with a little help from our Mommies.) My buddies are the best! I am also getting very comfortable with their Mom’s.  In fact, I ask them to help me with things and I talk to them all of the time.  Sometimes they even watch me when Mommy has to go run errands or go to the doctor.  I have so much fun their houses that I never want to leave when Mommy comes to get me! They are very nice and help Mommy take good care of me.

We have also had a lot of down time, just playing around the house- causing trouble and making our own fun.

And after a long day, even though I am a big boy, I still like to cuddle up with Mommy.

So, that is my summer all summed up.  I wish I could have gone into more detail, but this is the best I can do- there was just to much to write about! Which I think is a good thing! I am sad to see summer go, but I am very excited for fall! The holidays are the best! I will try and stay up to date now that Mom is feeling better.  Things can get back to normal! Hope you all enjoyed your summer too!
