The Wright Brother's Diary

Minnesota

So, as you all know, Mom and I went on this great trip to the midwest. We were gone for 10 whole days! It was a long trip but it went by super fast. I have a very large family- I did not know this. Mom’s always throwing around names, and I am like “huh?” But, now I know. I have a huge family!

Also, I met my Great Grandparents. But, really, aren’t all grandparents great? These are my Mom’s Grandparents. She has told me so many wonderful things about them. It was so nice to meet them, I loved them from the moment I met them. This is me with my Great Grandma Beauchemin.

We stayed at My Aunt Elyse’s and my Uncle Donnie’s house. It was so much fun there! Uncle Donnie let me do all sorts of stuff that Mom never lets me do- like sip Root Beer! YUM!! And, Aunt Elyse and I have lots of inside jokes, whenever I catch her eye, we shared a little snicker! It was pretty special. We had a really nice time there, and felt very much at home. Thanks you guys for everything!

I got to meet my Aunt Terry and her family, too! I had fun playing with my cousins Sam and Shelby. They were so nice to me, and so good at helping to take care of me. Mom says the girls are so fun and lovable that they remind her of their Mom, my Aunt Terry. Mom also says that out of all of my Uncles, my Uncle Greg Curry is the only one I am allowed to play with? huh?

This is a picture of me with my Aunt Gayle. I knew she was a grandmother the instant that I met her! First, you can see how she is holding me- like a pro- this lady has done this before! Also, she always has cookies with her. She showed up to every party with a platter full of cookies (like 7 different kinds) and she had them all labeled! They were delicious, and almost as sweet as her! Her children were there, too. They seem more like Aunt and Uncle types to me, they are a little old to be cousins. Their kids seemed more like cousin types. They were all so nice to me, and they were so cool!

This is my Uncle Greg. He is taking me to VEGAS BABY! I am going to learn how to shoot craps, with him and Granpa B. I don’t know what that means or why I have to wait so long- I am ready to go now! I’m feelin’ hot! I am excited to go with them- and I bet Mom will like the idea, too. She always says “those two need a chaperone.”

I also got to spend more time with my Granpa & Grandma B. I just love them so much! Grandma Lisa and I spent time together, she likes to give Mom “much needed breaks!” We went on a walk together, and played together and she even rocked me to sleep one night. We snuggled up together, and the next thing I knew- I was out! I had lots of fun with her and it was so nice to see her again!

And, Granpa! You know, Mom and I are so lucky to have him! He will travel anywhere to see us. If we go to California, there he is, and if we go to Minnesota,- you get the picture. We spent a lot of time together! We played and sang, and he helped me climb the stairs! That’s right- I’m a climber! I can go anywhere now, you can’t keep me down. (And, don’t put up those stupid childproof gates, I hate those!) Also, Granpa fed me my first meatball, with BBQ Sauce! I almost bit his whole hand off! I wanted that meat! I always enjoy my time with Granpa, and I only wish he lived closer, so we could have more of it! I love you, Granpa! (PS- so does Mom:)

Here are some family photos that we took! They are not complete, because Uncle Brian, Aunt Stephany and cousin Cayanne are not there. I missed you guys! These are all of my cousins, Aunts and Uncles, and of course Granparents!

These are just some action shots of the fam hanging out. Good Food. Good Company. Good Times.

Well, I had a great trip. I loved seeing another part of the country, but most of all, I loved meeting my family. I can’t wait to see them all again!

    Krissy,

Elyse sent me the link to Chase’s website. I am your cousin Anne. Not sure if you remember me or not. I don’t think I’ve seen you since Terry & Greg’s wedding. I’m Larry’s granddaughter, Deb’s daughter.

I love all of the family reunion pictures. I think it is fantastic that you were all able to get together. I was last in Minnesota for Elyse’s wedding. Come to think of it, I must have seen you there as well.

I email with Leslie every now and again. I also send pictures to Terry, Elyse & Gayle. I have a 7 year old son (Michael), a 2.5 year old son (Connor) & a 9 month old daughter (Hannah). When was Chase born? Hannah’s b-day is 9/1.

I guess I’ve probably written enough. Hope all is well.
