Okay, that Christmas thing was cool. We were in Anacortes at Granny and Papa’s – about an hour away, but now we’re back.
Mom said we’re having some friends over for “new year’s eve” but I don’t think I’m even a year old yet so I don’t think I get a whole new year. Not sure how that works. Anyway, I guess a couple of people my age are coming over – Cooper and Evan. We’ll see how that goes since I really like to be the center of everyone’s attention…
So I was doin’ some tummy time the other day – and pretty upset about it – when all of a sudden I was on my back! My dad was watching and we both kinda looked at each other like, “what just happened?” and then he yelled for mom and I started to cry (I do that sometimes). Mom was so mad! She said she couldn’t believe that she spends all day everyday with me and I chose to “roll over” when I’m with dad. Heck, I don’t even know what I did! I couldn’t do it again if you asked me! (and mom has…)
Okay, I discovered something else too. I used to just kind of cry a little to get my parents attention. I found something better. If any of you reading this are around 4 – 5 months old, I’ve got a little tip for you. Mom and dad call it a “squeal”. I call it pure magic. I mean they come RUNNING! Whoo-hoo!!! Hungry? Squeal. Tired? Squeal. It’s pretty easy to do – just a real high pitched sound in the front of your throat. (the only problem is that I think they’re on to me – whenever I start to squeal now, mom and dad just LAUGH at me! the NERVE….)
Well, I guess I should get to bed now. I need to warm up my squealing muscles….
Hey there lil buddy! Merry Xmas to you. It looks like you had a great time. It appears that you did ok with ole Santa. Wish I could of seen you tearing into those presents. Did you read who they were from or just tear em open? Grownups always make a big deal out of that??? At your age and the fact you can’t read will probably get you a pass on that this year.
If the folks start ignoring the “squeal” thing, you may try fake choking for awhile or throwing anything noisy on the floor and then crying a bit, they will come running guaranteed. I use these on grandma Lisa all the time. The secret is don’t set a pattern, mix em up and keep them guessing.
Not much new here. Uncle Greg (you don’t know him yet…which may be a good thing until you grow a bit) is coming down in a couple of weeks. We are going to a big car show and then head up to Las Vegas for awhile. Grandma Lisa is staying in Phoenix. Shucks…!! Someday maybe we can go together, I have a feeling you would like it. Well I loved all of your pictures and tell everyone happy New Year for me.
Love, Granpa B.
