The Wright Brother's Diary

Home Sweet Home

Well, it has been a while and I have a lot to report. I had lots of fun in California! It was so fun to see Grandma & Grandpa Fossey. We played the whole time. Grandma Fossey made me laugh so hard! She can be so silly. They had all sorts of toys that I like, at their house, so it was just like being at home.

Grandpa Beauchemin came to see me, too. Grandpa Beauchemin likes to tease me. (But, I know he thinks I am pretty special:) He drove along way to see me. I am lucky to have such great grandparents, who love me so much.

Also, I met my Aunt Jessie. She is Mom’s youngest sister. Auntie Jessie thinks I am so cute! She wanted to hold me all of the time, until I cried, then she wanted nothing to do with me (it is amazing how fast family will turn on you). But, she is very sweet and I love her.

Mom and I got home on Sunday, and went to see Granny and Papa on Monday. We wanted to get a head start on our holiday weekend, and we just missed them. It was very nice and relaxing. Granny sang lots of songs to me, and Papa and I had some good talks. Then, Daddy and the rest of the family came up on Wednesday.

Thanksgiving… I don’t get it. Maybe I was just tired and cranky. But, what is the big deal? There was a bunch of food, nothing that I could eat. If you ask me, this holiday is for the birds (no pun intended). Mom and Dad said that “this is a time to give thanks and be grateful for all that we have”… maybe next year. So, I ended up having a huge meltdown, and sleeping through Thanksgiving (this is what Mom is thankful for?). Anyways, here are some pictures. I, still, hope you all enjoyed your holiday.

So, now I am home. I am lucky to have so many great places to go, but there is no place like home! I guess that I am thankful for a lot of things (like home). Plus, I have the best grandparents (and I have more than most people do, it is a long story, and Mom says that I am too young to hear it) in the world, and a big family that makes me feel very loved. I am very lucky. Also, I am thankful for all of you, I appreciate you all taking the time to check in on me, and see how I am doing. I can’t wait to get to know you all better!

Take care &
Happy Holidays!

Glad to see you made it home Lil Buddy. It was great seeing you and can’t wait till the next time. You have one great smile and laugh. As first thanksgivings go, it looks like you had a pretty nice one. You will like next year better. I’d call “dibs” on a drumstick now… just trust me on this one, you will know why later.
P.S. Don’t take my teasing to seriously, just my way of loving you and preparing you for Uncle Greg.

    Love… Granpa B

Chase – no worries about your meltdown or lack of enthusiasm regarding Thanksgiving – My twin boys don’t get it either. We went to some stuffy guy’s house and he would not let them have any fun! The nerve…

Chase is already looking like a stud! I am glad you all had a nice Thanksgiving. It was weird having it be 80 degrees here. Of course compared to Illinois…. I am not complaining.

    Dear Chase,

At thanksgiving, you are a reminder to me that my true needs are not many. You smile endlessly with love, a clean diaper, and a little food. Why do we make life so complicated? All I really need I have, I am loved. For that, I am thankful.

    You are in my thoughts.

    Love,
    Grandma B.

P.S. Grandpa B. hates turkey so the drumstick is yours!
